Brief about the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department:-
The Pharmaceutical Chemistry department plays an effective role in both practical and scientific fields.The department is responsible for teaching Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Drug Design courses to undergraduate students, as well as postgraduate courses for master and PhD students.
Moreover, the department periodically organizes practical workshops especially in the field of computer aided drug design CADD. Also, the department has an innovated drug design lab provided with recent computers and supported with specialized drug design softwares for the aim of unique research.
Regarding research facilities, the department possess 4 research laboratories, in addition to Green Chemistry lab which is supplied with advanced tools and instruments, in addition to (lab Microwave) which is specially designed for complicated chemical reactions, which are either hazardous or take a long time, and make it more simple and less hazardous .
